Montreal, Québec

Full of old European charm, Montreal is surprisingly contemporary and refreshing.

In one day, one could see 18th century architecture, wander the modern downtown area, and go for a hike in Mont Royal, a huge park space in the middle of the city.

BIXI Bikes, the city bike sharing program, serves as a wonderful way to get around and see the city when the weather is nice.

The hip neighborhood Mile End, has an artsy, young, and creative vibe. Old bagel shops, trendy cafes, record shops, and modern coffee shops line the streets.

For the evening, there are countless stylish restaurants serving up creative fare and bars with interesting design and impressive menus.

Montreal is full of gems and is a great way to scratch that European itch without flying across the Atlantic.
