The final stop of a SE Asia trip, Bali was the fun & relaxing vibe we needed.
Our rental in Canggu, was a custom built modern home with a private pool, great lounge space, and large doors that connected the indoor and outdoor spaces. Plenty of room for the 5 of us to hang out together with sheet masks (real life) or for us each to have our own quiet space.
Most days started with a couple people surfing and the rest heading to a yoga studio in town. Cold brew coffee and smoothie bowls were abundant and our kitchen counter was piled with fresh tropical fruit and sunscreen--the sign of true vacation.
When we were feeling adventurous, we'd grab a helmet from the pile on the ledge and hop on our scooters. One day we braved a hectic 1 hr+ ride through insane Bali traffic to see a different part of the island and came back coated in exhaust soot.
On less adventurous days, we lounged on our deck, ordered delivery, and swam in the pool.
Evenings were filled with dinner and drinks with an ocean view as we watched the sun dip below the horizon.
I left Bali feeling rested, grateful and ready to book a trip to return!
